April 1st a new carbon monoxide law came into effect in Oregon requiring homes, at the time of sale, to have carbon monoxide detectors installed. This is also a law for landlords.
Oregon has a smoke detector law in place. At the time of sale the home or other living unit will need smoke detectors with 10 year batteries or hard wired smoke detectors installed in the house.
